The Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) is the government regulator in network sectors - electricity, gas, district heating and water management - in Slovakia. The role of the Office is to protect the end consumer from abuse of the dominant position of monopolistic energy and water suppliers and at the same time to ensure the return on investments of business entities, so that the supply of energy and water is reliable and secure.

In exercising its powers, the Office shall act impartially and independently. State authorities, local authorities, other public authorities and other persons shall not influence the Office in the exercise of its powers.
The bodies of the Office are the Chairman and the Regulatory Board and the Office is based in Bratislava, with branch offices also in Martin, Košice and Trenčín.
